Pro-Business and Pro-Equality

As Young Democrats in Virginia, we are both pro-business and pro-equality. Republican Governor Bob McDonnell's refusal to protect Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and  Transgender (GLBT) Virginians from discrimination in the state government will negatively impact our state's ability to attract the best workers. Now, Governor McDonnell's extremism is threatening to attract the best businesses, too. Pro-equality defense contractor Northrop Grumman is questioning whether or not to locate their new headquarters in Virginia. Will the pro-equality corporation move to a state where the Republican Governor rolled back protections for gays and lesbians in his first month in office? Tell the House of Delegates to pass the Democratically-controlled Senate's bill to prohibit discrimination against GLBT Virginians in the workplace!
