University Democrat Fun During Homecoming
The University Democrats continued the tradition and showed their Miner Spirit during homecoming. This year, the organzation placed 7th overall out of the 30 other organizations. Also, to show that we are one of the smartest organizations, for a second year in a row, we dominated the "Nerd Wars" competition.
Also,
our float theme this year was "Dia de los Miners" in celbration of
Hispanic Heritage Month by tieing in a classic Mexican Tradidtion of "Dia
de Los Muetros" and showing how UTEP has dominated in football -
beating Tulane, Houston, NMSU, UNM, and as of yesterday, Marshal. Here is a
picture of some UDs with Coach Mike Price

to let the public know, this means in no shape or form that Coach Price
is a Demo or Rep, he just took a picture with his #1 Fans!)
